Isn't this picture cool? It's not photoshopped or anything like that; my brother actually took this while on his holiday break in New York. I like this picture. :) His photography skills have definitely improved alot since he went to Canada, haha. There are still many other photos in his album that blew me away, but I'm just too lazy to save and upload all of them here. :P
The day is gradually approaching. Results day, that is. As I was reading some of my ex-classmates' blogs, I'm beginning to feel the jitters. Actually I was not bothered at all until I read their entries. Hmm I haven't had nightmares of results day yet, (like the ones I had before O'Level results day) but boy whenever I think of that day I get immediate goosebumps. But I guess what's done is done, and all we can only do now is to pray and leave it all to Him. :)
All it took was a smile.

Where are we? What the hell is going on? The dust has only just begun to fall, Crop circles in the carpet, sinking, feeling. Spin me round again and rub my eyes. This can't be happening. When busy streets a mess with people would stop to hold their heads heavy.
Hide and seek. Trains and sewing machines. All those years they were here first.
Oily marks appear on walls Where pleasure moments hung before. The takeover, the sweeping insensitivity of this still life.
Hide and seek. Trains and sewing machines. (Oh, you won't catch me around here) Blood and tears, They were here first.
Mmm, what you say? Mm, that you only meant well? Well, of course you did. Mmm, what you say? Mm, that it's all for the best? Ah of course it is. Mmm, what you say? Mm, that it's just what we need? And you decided this. Mmm what you say? What did she say?
Ransom notes keep falling out your mouth. Mid-sweet talk, newspaper word cut-outs. Speak no feeling, no I dont believe you. You don't care a bit. You don't care a bit.
Imogen Heap - Hide And Seek
Been a long time since I put up song lyrics in my blog. But I really really LOVE this song by Imogen Heap. I remember it was one of the songs in You Think You Can Dance, and its one of those songs that just makes you.. think about life. Cliche but true. Where are we? Why are we even here in this place, this world? Are we all simply trying to find that little light amidst all this darkness in the world? Or are we only able to rummage through those rare blissful memories at the same time trapped in a bleak present and future?
Anyway, visited Joo's blog, heard Mika's Grace Kelly and I'm totally addicted. :D Haa. I just love his sound, brightens up anyone's day. :) I'm also addicted to XXXHOLiC, an anime. Just watched finish the last episode, bet its going to be a hit if a drama serial or movie comes out on it. Oh gosh I'm just intrigued by all these amazing stuff that Japanese can think and imagine up, heh. And OH YEAH, Mayday's latest album rocks. I'm definitely going to their concert if they come to Singapore this year. Just hope their tix are not that expensive.
So far work has been alright. Stressful, but quite fun because I get to talk random topics with random people. Hah, that's what you get for being a receptionist. But you have to keep smiling. Smile smile smile.. that's why my mentor says that you cannot have mood swings if you are at the reception or else there'll be lots of 'feedbacks' aka complaints. Ok.. payday soon. Muahah, although I haven't worked much because of the CNY hols. Ah, I feel a fever coming.. Sigh! I want to see the flowers at Sentosa!
/EDIT FINALLY NARUTO FILLERS HAVE ENDED!!!!! Oh gosh I'm freaking excited for Shippuuden! Watched the 1st 3 episodes already and they are AWESOME. Super nostalgic. :) LOVE Naruto and esp Kakashi! Ahhhhh
All it took was a smile.

SO, my 1st day of work at CGH. What can I say........ tiring? entertaining? interesting? stressful?
But I know that I've been teased about my 'dice' earrings twice (my interviewer said I should go into the IR casino business in the future), saw a real mortuary for the 1st time (AND he says he goes there most of the time to chill because its the most 'peaceful' place nobody disturb), witnessed a customer complaining about ward food and threatening to call SPH and reporters to come, franking and sorting mails for the 1st time...
Anyway, being a receptionist alone is freaking STRESSFUL. Have to call this person, call that person, remember dept numbers, remember where the depts are situated, entertain irritated patients.. eeeeks it's HELL. Luckily I'm doing office duty tomorrow morning, but going to be receptionist again in the noon.. Sigh! Hope tomorrow will be a better day. Working life sucks la, unless you're in sales or retail I guess. Anyway I like my badge! Don't know if I can keep it after I'm done with CGH. Heh. Hope I can. And the people at CGH are horribly NICE.. (except maybe that one old grumpy secretary =p) Especially that lady who comes to collect the mail who liked my earrings haha. And the receptionist in charge of me has become my 'mom', and my supervisor my 'dad'. Wow, on the 1st day they already made me their daughter -.- And the man who interviewed me the previous day is really funny, today he showed me around the hospital, telling me what food is nice and purposely brought me to the mortuary.. :)
But I still don't want to work already. :( LOL. Nvm... it's going to be just 1 month. Phew! To show you how much I love my badge, here goes:
Anyway, HAPPY VDAY! <3 <3 all around..
P/S. I've finished the whole series of OURAN! OMG its one of the nicest anime I've watched (though I haven't watched many =p) TAMAKI~~
/EDIT Found this SUPER HILARIOUS video of Jiro lip-syncing to some song.. OMGGG MUST-watch!!
